Background checks are available in 150+ countries. The United States is currently not supported.
What does a background check cover?
Each check screens against 110,000+ public databases, covering criminal records, global sanctions lists, PEP and fraud watchlists, and terrorist registries. You receive a clear, consolidated report for every candidate.
When can I request a background check?
Any time. Request a check from a candidate’s contract page while you’re onboarding a new hire, or run one on an existing team member whenever you need to, individually or in bulk.
Who can see the report?
Only you. The report is delivered as a secure PDF to your RemotePass dashboard, and RemotePass never sees its contents.
Is the background check process compliant with data privacy laws?
Yes. Checks run only after the candidate gives consent, and the process adheres to global data privacy standards including GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
